GSM measures the mass density of a 1m x 1m cut of fabric. Standard promo t-shirts use 150–180 GSM. Streetwear tees use 240–300 GSM. Premium heavy hoodies require 400–500 GSM loopback French terry.

Soft Shell
A bonded, three-layer fabric, a woven or knit face, a thin foam or fleece middle, and a technical backing, built to resist wind and light rain while staying breathable enough to wear as a shell on its own.
