Grams per Square Meter (GSM) Explained

GSM measures the mass density of a 1m x 1m cut of fabric. Standard promo t-shirts use 150–180 GSM. Streetwear tees use 240–300 GSM. Premium heavy hoodies require 400–500 GSM loopback French terry.

Single Jersey

The most basic circular-knit cotton fabric, one set of needles, one flat face and one looped back. Lightweight and breathable, it's the base fabric behind most everyday t-shirts.

Double Jersey

Knitted on two sets of needles so both faces come out smooth, giving it more structure, weight, and a cleaner drape than single jersey.
